Are You Programming Yourself To Be Fat? You might not be aware of it, but the self-talk and degree of emotion behind it that you have with yourself concerning your weight and your body actually influences and creates your body. I’m sure some of you have had the experience where you thought yourself sick.

You might have been around someone who was sick and you might have said to yourself “I know I’m going to get sick now” or perhaps some of you have just the opposite experience. You might have felt something coming on and you might have said, “I’m not going to allow myself to get sick” only to shake off the illness.

How does this happen? All of our self-talk, every feeling we experience, every thought we have, is sending messages to our cells. Our cells are receiving it all and the more we repeat a given thought or the more emotional the thought the more effect it has over our cells.

This is why countless studies have proven that stress if harmful to the body. That is why the more positive you attitude the less likely you are to become ill. This is the reason that if you are ill a positive attitude plays a critical roll in your ability to get well.

The thoughts and emotions you are sending to your cells must be acted upon and it is your cells job to manifest that thought.

So what are some of the things you are communicating to your cells? Do any of these sound familiar? I am so fat. If I see food I gain 20 pounds. It doesn’t matter what I do, I can’t lose weight. I’ll never be thin.

So what should you do about it? Begin by monitoring your thoughts. Recognize all the negative thoughts you have throughout the day and begin to turn them around by repeating an affirmation to replace the negative thought. For example if you say to yourself I am fat replace it with I choose to feel lighter and healthier. Replace if I see food I gain 20 pounds with I choose to believe that I can be around food and lose weight at the same time.

Your thoughts work like affirmations. By repeating negative thoughts over and over again you have been programming your cells to respond in such a way that created your current body. Practice positive programming and create the body you desire.

Want proof? The next time you’re in a restaurant, notice how much food a thin person is eating versus a heavy one. Odds are there isn’t that much of a difference on the plate. Now ask them about their eating habits and here’s what you might hear:

“I’ve always eaten whatever I wanted and never gain weight”

“No matter what I eat, I always gain weight”

Can you guess which person is the thin and which is the heavy?

There are several ways to go about changing your inner destructive dialog to a positive and supportive dialog. First you can monitor your thoughts and whenever you catch yourself thinking a negative thought immediately change it to a positive one. The trick here is that your positive thought has to be believable. For example, if you are 50 pounds overweight and you catch yourself saying “I am fat”. If you were to change that to “I am thin” your subconscious would not believe that and it would be rejected. But if you were to change that to “I choose to believe that I can become fit and healthy” then your subconscious mind would accept that.

Another way to change your internal dialog through the use of hypnosis recordings. Just by listening to a hypnosis recording you can easily replace years of limiting beliefs with positive life expanding beliefs. Hypnosis is safe, effective and inexpensive and I highly recommend it.

No matter how you decide to change that inner dialog, just change it. You will feel happier, more optimistic, less stressed and you will notice the pounds begin to melt away.
